IN THE PERSON OF WHOM SO MUCH HAVE BEEN SAID

When you read all the tributes and messages to the fallen hero, Mandiba, as was popularly known in his homeland, you realize with a mixture of solemnity and awe  that, here was a man who transcended both lives in the mortality and immortality and lives on even when the candle has long burnt out.
He beats all odds to live on with more conspicuousness in death than when alive.
In his words of counsel and wisdom, he speaks even more loudly today, as if death has undressed his humility to portray the real African warrior in him, who, though using no physical weapons, commanded respect from the high and mighty.
His is like a mighty angel who stand astride land and see causing the land to roar in his wisdom and goodness to all mankind in equal measure. He will be remembered as the man who truly touched the lives of all irrespective of race, color, religion or creed.
When you read his motivational quotes and reflect upon his life, you realize, in a very strange way that, though physically gone, it matters not much that he has rested; for the legend lives on.
This is so in that his legendary wisdom far outshines the brightest star in the heavens, yet his buoyancy will surely enable him dwell in the minds of many who were lucky enough to have lived in the same time-line with this great man.
But what could we truly say of a man who has taught us that our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are  powerful beyond measure.
In his own words of brevity and wisdom, he has truly inspired us in ways, that will take us a long time to comprehend.
Today Mandiba, the world is surely a better place because you lived. And because you lived, many will benefit so much from you and lead better lives because in your living, you gave so much by the sacrifices you made. WE LOVE YOU ALL.
